violinist & performer - classical music, pop music, stage musician (opera), new music
Binha Haase performs as a violinist across classical, contemporary, and pop music with a variety of ensembles, bands, and orchestras throughout Germany. They bring expertise in performative play within interdisciplinary projects and music theatre, and have appeared as a stage musician (solo violin) in Lehár’s opera Lustige Witwe with the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin (Schweriner Schlossfestspiele) under the direction of Andrea Schwalbach.
In pop music, Binha has collaborated with artists such as Max Raabe, berq, Zartmann and rappers including Luvre47, kwam.e, and Megaloh. They also perform regularly in orchestras such as the Meininger Staatskapelle, Hofer Sinfoniker or Sinfonisches Kammerorchester Berlin and participate in classical recordings for Bayerischer Rundfunk and Deutschlandfunk Kultur, as well as in film music productions including Harry Potter in Concert and Star Wars in Concert.
Deeply engaged in contemporary and experimental music, Binha is a member of the Contemporary Insights Ensemble in Leipzig, has performed at the Darmstadt Summer Course 2012 with Ensemble Modern and the Young German Philharmonic and in 2023 for the international violin studio with Prof. Hae-Sun Kang (CLEX with Ernesto Molinari and others).
Binha studied music (B.A. and Master of Music and Art Performance, majoring in violin) at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with Prof. Sebastian Hamann, and received further guidance from Prof. Hae-Sun Kang, Prof. Maria Egelhof, and Prof. Albrecht Breuninger. They were a full member of the Bundesjugendorchester – National Youth Orchestra of Germany and a regular substitute in the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
