The video work "en travesti" highlights four stage roles from opera and one musical role that were written for cross-gender casting, known as "en travesti." These roles are collaged into a single gender-fluid character that playfully shifts between different identities.

The various roles are staged with a single female singer, who is seen in portrait mode against a black background. In a five-part split screen, the individual roles are continuously reassembled. The audio features partly overlapping fragments of the respective arias, as well as longer vocal passages. These elements distinguish the roles, which the video continually deconstructs.
